  主题:
UTLS transport associated with the Asian monsoon anticyclone: outstanding questions and hypotheses

  主讲人: Dr. Laura Pan

   主讲人简介:

Dr. Laura Pan is a senior scientist in NCAR’s Atmospheric Chemistry Observations & Modeling (ACOM) Laboratory.  She is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in the field of chemistry and dynamics of the upper troposphere-lower stratosphere (UTLS). She has worked at NCAR since 1992 in positions of Scientist I, Project Scientist II, Scientist II, III and Senior Scientist.

She has worked on the conceptual design and has led and participated in a number of aircraft based field campaigns, including the Stratosphere-Troposphere Analyses of Regional Transport (START05/START08) experiments (2005, 2008), Deep Convective Clouds and Chemistry (DC3) experiment (2012), Studies of Emissions and Atmospheric Composition, Clouds and Climate Coupling by Regional Surveys (SEAC4RS) (2013), and CONvective TRansport of Active Species in the Tropics (CONTRAST) (2014). Her work focuses on the use of these observations to evaluate and improve chemistry-climate models. UTLS transport associated with Asian monsoon is one of her current research foci. And she is a co-lead of the SPARC/IGAC jointly sponsored international activity Atmospheric Composition and Asian Monsoon (ACAM).
