[预告]05.07Open Seminar on Remote Sensing of Sea Ice and Climate Change Research

05.05.2015  11:39

On Thursday 7 May 2015, the Polar Research Institute (PRI), is about to hold an open seminar on Remote  Sensing  of  Sea  Ice  and  Climate  Change  Research. The seminar aims to promote academic exchanges on polar sea ice research. During the morning session, one keynote of this seminar—“Satellite remote sensing of sea ice for climate research and operational applications” will be presented by Dr. Georg Heygster, head of the Sea Ice Department at the Institute for Environmental Physics of the University of Bremen (IUP), Germany. He will introduce recent developments on remote sensing of sea ice for climate research and operational applications, together with the physical basis. Professor Xiao Cheng, director of PRI, is also scheduled to present his report “Navigational sea ice analysis for the RV  Xuelong  in Prydz Bay, East Antarctica, 2011/12 to 2013/14”. Researchers from Wuhan University will also present their work. We kindly invite you to join us on Thursday 7 May 2015 in Beijing Normal University.    Programme
