International Polar Remote Sensing Workshop
June 8-9, 2015
Beijing, P.R. China

   Call for abstracts

  Abstracts due May 8, 2015

Welcome to the International Polar Remote Sensing Workshop. This workshop deals specifically with remote sensing applications in the circumpolar environments, both Arctic and Antarctic. It will provide an international forum for the presentation of recent results and discussion of work currently being carried out in the circumpolar regions of the world.

The theme of the workshop in Beijing is Polar ice sheet and sea level rise.

Contributions are expected, but not limited, to the following topics:

  1. Extraction of the ice sheet boundaries, grounding lines and changes
  2. Mass balance of ice sheet in Greenland and Antarctica
  3. Measurements of the ice sheet surface changes and ice flow field velocity
  4. Novel remote sensing technologies for polar observations
  5. Geodetic observations for regional and global sea level monitoring
